Composite fillings

Composite fillings white fillings are used to reconstruct teeth, or to fill a cavity after removing caries or a cracked tooth. A properly made filling should close the edges perfectly to prevent new caries from forming. The difference between the tooth and the material should not be noticable and it should have lumps and dents as well as a real tooth.

The filling must not be too high or too low, as otherwise it could contribute to the joint dysfunction and it must be made of high quality abrasion-resistant material that will, as much as possible, mimic the elasticity of the tooth itself. It must perfectly contact with the adjacent teeth so that it is possible to floss between them and to prevent food getting stuck between them.
